Ninja Kitchen System 1100 In-Depth Review
I have a few household items that I abolutely love and the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 is one of them. I make so many smoothies that I am always in search of the perfect blender!
I fell in love with the entire Ninja line when they first came out. But when the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 Series hit the market I was shocked at how awesome this thing was compared to most other blenders that I have ever used. That leads us to today and this review of this awesome little kitchen appliance. This Ninja Master Blender can chop, is a great food processor (and even has a food processor container) and could be the best Ninja model available!
What to keep in mind when looking for the right blender
There are a few things that can really grab my attention when it comes to shopping for a blender. I look for
- Power
- A Great Blade and Blade Assembly
- A Nice Sized Pitcher that Pours Well
- Some Conveniences Built In
I am not looking for the cheapest blender and if I am going to invest good money into this appliance I want to be sure I am getting value in all of these areas. Don't skimp on me if you want my money, right?

POWER
That's right. I am not exactly Tim the Toolman Taylor here but I want some power in my kitchen. I want something that makes it easy to make a fruit smoothie or a great crushed ice drink. I want something making minced meat of that ice too. I don't want ice bouncing around and taking forever to get to that point where I can actually drink it. I want my drink now dammit!

A GREAT BLADE AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
I want steel here. I want something that's not going to chip. I want an assembly that doesn't strip and the plastic tube doesn't break. I am looking for quality and not cheap. Get it?
The Ninja Kitchen System 1100 packs in six blades in it's full size assembly and four blades for smaller jobs. The housing is superior and I do not see this breaking anytime soon.
A NICE SIZED PITCHER THAT POURS WELL
I want something that can feed a family here. I am looking to put smoothies into four cups, entertain friends, know what I mean. Oh yeah, and I don't want it spilling all over the floor as I pour it out either. Know what I'm saying?
72 ounces is perfect for the Ninja Kitchen System 1100. Did I mention that there is a smaller container included for smaller jobs? Love it!
SOME CONVENIENCES
I want some extras. If I am going to invest in a quality blender I don't just want a base and a pitcher. Give me something that makes my life a little easier. Better controls, easier to store, easy to clean. Come on, throw me a bone!
Owe yeah, this thing packs it in. The Ninja Kitchen System 1100 is an entire system, not just a blender. Two containers, 72 ounces and 40 ounces for tons of different blending and food processing jobs. The Whisk Attachment, Dough Hook and Dough Paddle help with making pizza dough, bread, biscuits and anything else of the sort that floats your boat.
Did I mention that with the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 you can remove the blade and it is dishwasher safe so it is a cinch to clean too!

Any complaints?
The number one complaint I can find is that it does not make great juice out of vegetables. And they are right. This is not a juicer and is not a $500 blender.
It does what it says it does and it does it well. As an entire kitchen system, the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 is a great deal!

I had a Vita-Mix for years. It finally broke. The cost of repair is very high. The Ninja 1100 really interests me. I just purchased the system but have not received it yet. I really like the idea of the blade system because with the Vita-Mix I was left with large pieces many times. I hope it works as well as I am anticipating. (o: Also, the Vita-Mix that I had had a spigot and one blade for all uses. It looks like the new models have dry blades and wet blades and no spigot.
